Salvador 250 Count Brazilian Rosewood Cigar Humidor

Why do they make these things so beautiful? Don't they know we can't resist them?

The Salvador 250 Count Brazilian Rosewood Cigar Humidor is a gorgeous humidor, inside and out – and is highly functional. Let’s start outside and work our way in, shall we?

Really, you have no choice, so best to just kick back and go along with it.

When you first receive the Salvador, you'll open the packaging and be struck by the high-lacquer Brazilian rosewood finish. (But that’s only if you put your face too close to the lid when you open in. If you want to avoid being struck by it, you need to move back.) You'll also see four handsome polished silver feet that keep this lovely humidor from ever making contact with an inferior surface.

Okay, now let’s open it. Oh, wait – it has a lock! Only the chosen one can open it. Luckily for you, if you bought it, you're the chosen one. Otherwise, none shall pass. Keep your key in a safe place, or you'll be chopping into this charming rosewood humidor with a rusty axe to get your cigars out.

Storage is quite ample – enough for 250 cigars, and everything can be kept separate, if you like. You've got two removable trays with adjustable dividers, and a bottom compartment that also has a moving divider.

All of this wonderful storage space would be a total disaster, however, if you didn't have the right humidification setup. But that’s no worry. The Salvador humidor has two foam humidifiers and a digital hygrometer snugly attached to the lid with magnets that pull toward steel lining within it. They're not going anywhere, and neither are you.

Not when you've got 250 cigars to smoke, anyway.

Love this humidor!

I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I received my order and with the beauty of the finish of this humidor. The picture on the website does not do it justice. The Spanish cedar interior smells amazing, but is not overpowering. It only took a few days to season the humidor and get it into the proper range. My collection is now resting comfortably in its new home. Will definitely buy from Cheap Humidors again.

Good for the money

Pros: Spacious, well-constructed, and holds humidity very well.

The Cons: 1.) The wood inside, especially the dividers, was VERY rough and could damage cigars that are not distributed in cellophane (i.e., Padrons). Easily remedied with some fine sand paper, but that should be done by the factory.

2.) The included hygrometer is accurate, but cannot be calibrated. It also has a magnet affixed with double-sided tape which makes it almost two inches thick and top-heavy, which means it falls off the lid easily. I wish I had upgraded the hygrometer at the time of purchase. I had an extra Caliber IV, which fits much better. Again, minor gripe.

3.) The included humidifiers are very heavy when charged, and will fall away from the lid if it is not carefully closed. I would much rather use Boveda packs. Keep in mind that the lid is not able to close if using the cedar Boveda holders that stack two packs on top of each other. The holders that house one pack thickness will fit just fine.

Overall, great value. Would buy again. If I had been able to inspect this upon purchase, I would have noticed those minor cons.

Beautiful. Well Made.

Love, love, love my new Humidor. It retains humidity levels exceedingly well. My only issue is that the included hygrometer does not work. The battery door does not effectively hold the battery in. I have put a small object between the door and the battery, which helps, but I don't think that should be required. However, I bought it for the humidor, not the hygrometer; and the humidor works great!

Nice

It is good, currently under seasoning. However, there was some glue on the key area in the humidor which was hard to remove.
