When you see the Terminator and ex-govern-ator Arnold Schwarzenegger chopping down on a cigar, it seems only natural. Other celebrities from the past and present that may come to mind when you think of cigars might include Mark Twain, Groucho Marx, Alfred Hitchcock, Jack Nicholson, Bruce Willis, and Robert De Niro. Let’s talk about some celebrities that you wouldn’t expect to like cigars.
Remember Jenny From The Block? Or the sweet host of American Idol? Or perhaps you remember her all the way back in her “Fly Girl” days on In Living Color? Yes, the sassy Latina known as Jennifer Lopez is one celebrity you may not have guessed is also a lover of a fine cigar. On more than one occasion, she has been spotted in public with a cigar hanging from those sexy lips. We aren’t talking about an old stogie here either, as Lopez tends only to smoke the finest available.
Another famous celebrity that you wouldn’t expect to like cigars is Demi Moore. To many people’s surprise, the ageless actress even appeared in cigar aficionado magazine. Other big name female cigar lovers include Raquel Welch, Sharon Stone, Gina Gershon, Salma Hayek, Dita Von Teese, Heidi Klum and Carman Electra. Even the famous Whoopi Goldberg has been known to smoke a cigar now and then.
The chocolatier Milton Hershey is of course well known for his famous chocolate bars, but his other less well-known passion in life was cigars. People claim the man smoked upwards of 10 cigars a day, and many say he was never seen without one. At one point Milton moved to Cuba for business and discovered the love for Cuban cigars. Eventually there were cigars even named after him, and sold in Hersheypark. A life of wealth, chocolate and cigars must have been a good one!
Other male celebrities that you wouldn’t expect to like cigars include Bill Cosby, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Nicolas Cage, Kelsey Grammer, and Rob Schneider. Danny Devito actually learned to love cigars from his “Twins” co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger. Who knew so many famous celebrities loved a good cigar?
With so many famous faces liking cigars, it just goes to show there is no one “type” of person who enjoys a good smoke. From tough men like Schwarzenegger and Willis, to pretty and petite babes like Lopez and Moore, cigars are a universal language of enjoyment.
