Hi, this is Kelly from Cheap Humidors and today we’re going to do an unboxing. I’m particularly interested in unboxing because I adore packaging. So this is the Fallen Angel which is a robusto size by AJ Fernandez (this package in particular) and we’re going to unbox it.
So the first thing I’ll do is take off the cellophane and be careful not to scratch it. And the first thing you see is this fabulous medallion right here. It’s hand stamped in silver and it looks like it says Fallen Angel on it with a picture of a fallen angel on there. It looks like it has some black and brown varnish. It’s got the size on the side, and on the back it has double hinges, and the size on the other side. And on the top, it says “Fallen Angel” in their fancy font with some silver metallic writing.
Inside, you have the four color fallen angel emblem; it’s also embossed as you can feel the raised pieces here. The cigars themselves look beautiful. They happen to be box pressed, which I think is interesting because it doesn’t actually say box pressed anywhere. So there’s gonna be a few of you who purchase it who get surprised. We’ll take out the first layer to see if there is any surprises in there; you never know what you’ll find. And at the end, I’m going to actually take one out of the cellophane and get a close-up for you, so you can see what you’re purchasing before you actually buy it.
Hey there’s no surprises along the way; sometimes they have satin ribbons in there, sometimes Spanish cedar dividers, but if you look all the way down, it’s empty. And then we’ll do close-up here. This cellophane doesn’t come with any extra sticker on it. Sometimes it may come with a barcode in case you want to resell it to your friends. This cigar is quite lovely, it has some veins and all in all, it looks beautiful. The box pressing is nice and firm and my favorite of course, is right here. If you look at it, it doesn’t have the footer but just has the regular label.
And it says Fallen Angel which is also embossed in four colors. It has a metallic halo and it’s die-cut with a rough paper looking edge. It’s a beautiful band really; it’s simple but it’s beautiful. And this was the AJ Fernandez Fallen Angel. This one that’s box pressed is 5 inches long with a 52 inch ring gauge. It’s a full strength cigar, Ecuadorian grown with a Sumatra wrapper, and a Nicaraguan binder and long filler. It’s a really good stick!
