Construction:
The veins wrapper is a dark chocolate brown color with charcoal marbling. The length of the stick is plump but pliable. The cap is thin but evenly mounted.
Flavor & Cold Draw:
The wrapper doesn’t give off any noticeable scents but the foot smells strongly of black pepper. The cold draw is pretty bland with no real flavor. Once lit, I immediately notice hints of coco and earth mixed with pervasive rich tobacco flavor. The coco dissipates in the middle leaving just an earthy flavor until the end.
Burn & Smoking Characteristics:
The draw is a bit too tight but still produces ample smoke. The burn is uneven with a deviation of about a half inch but it evens itself out in the final third. The ash is compact but drops too often.
Conclusion:
The La Finca Cigar is a great everyday bargain cigar. It is flavorful but not overpowering.
