Cigar: Montecristo No. 2 – Dominican Blend
Perfect Pair: A Nice Malt Whiskey, aged for flavor
Time of Day: Afternoon
Construction: Montecristo is known world wide for quality, and the No. 2 is no exception. The wrapper is very well crafted, holds together very nice when smoked. The wrapper is a light to medium brown, almost a oscuro like shade to it. The draw is wonderful, just right and cool to the touch. When cut properly it does not unravel at all.
Taste: The No. 2 had hints of spices, wood & sweetness. It had a very rich, mild flavor that is best smoked in the afternoon. When you first smoke it, you can detect hints of chocolate as well as orange peel. This cigar is an absolute dream to smoke, if you have a hour or so to yourself. Definetly take the time needed to enjoy this excellent cigar.
Recommendation: This cigar is a fair price for the Montecristo brand. They run about 250 bucks a box, so to some of you that may mean a lot, or a little. But if you have the chance, definetly pick up one to try out first before you commit to a whole box. You will not be dissapointed with this cigar.
