Why do people inhale cigar smoke? Because they’re idiots.
(End of post.)
Okay, okay – you want a more elaborate explanation than that, we can tell.
A cigar is not a smoke designed to provide you relief when you’re craving nicotine. Instead, it’s a treat that you’re supposed to enjoy by taste and smell. You take the smoke into your mouth, savor the flavors, and then blow it away. Then you savor the flavors some more, take a sip of whiskey, and generally chill out.
That is, while it provides some nicotine, it isn’t about getting a fix – it’s about enjoyment.
Of course, you can inhale a cigar if you like. And you can use your whiskey to give yourself an enema – but that doesn’t make either an efficient, appropriate use of your time and resources. Combine that with the fact that most people will get quite sick if they inhale their way through an entire cigar (vomiting, coughing, etc.), and you’ve got a pretty solid piece of guidance for cigar smoking:
Don’t inhale cigar smoke!
It isn’t what they’re designed for, and will probably mess you and your night up.
