The history of My Father Cigars started 12 years ago when Jose Pepin Garcia and his family established a very small cigar factory in Little Havana in 2003. Six years later, the My Father Cigars factory had a grand opening in Nicaragua.
Don Pepin’s cigar history began when he was 11 years old, living in Cuba. That was the year he first sat down in front of a rolling table and rolled his first cigar. Who would have realized that from those humble beginnings Don Pepin Garcia would be named “America’s Hottest Cigar Maker” in 2008?
This is a family affair for sure. Don Pepin and his son, Jaime have developed countless blends together while Don Pepin’s daughter, Janny is in charge of the My Father Cigars headquarters.
The headquarters is located in Doral, FL. In addition to the executive offices, the building also houses a warehouse and a small factory with 12 rollers, all taught by Don Pepin himself.
The headquarters also has a cigar lounge for clients and friends to enjoy the My Father Cigars line and also the original Tatuaje line of cigars.
The Nicaraguan factory sits on 7 acres and is comprised of 9 buildings. This factory employs 1900 people, working with tobacco from the time it was harvested to the time it is shipped to retailers.
Jaime Garcia is the President of the company and supervises every operation in Esteli.
