Maybe the era of Tiger is behind us. The young gun Rory McIlroy plays as if he could win any tournament on any given day. Fresh off the engagement to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, Rory is certainly trying to prove to her that yes was the right answer. Unfortunately, the Masters is not as kind to Rory as the Denmark doll is. He has yet to break the top 15 here, and we all remember the debacle in 2011 where Rory was having brunch with every pine and oak tree on the course.
One of the most unpredictable players in the history of the game; if there’s an opportunity to stick a shot, Phil will go for it. The field knows not to give Phil the opportunity to win because his short game is impeccable. However, I think his overly aggressive nature may lead him into some trouble over the weekend.
One last note: everyone should be pulling for Miguel-Angel Jiminez, the most interesting man on tour. Is he going to win? Most likely not but the man always carries a nice stogie in hand on the course, so how can you root against him?
