To use your oasis unit you want to take your control top, which has velcro on the back that you can use to attach it anywhere you want inside your humidor, and plug it into the side where indicated. On the back, there is a little, plastic flap. When the fans turn on the plastic flap will open up – you don’t want to remove the flap. What you can do is take the deflector and insert it in front of the air outlet so that it forces the air to blow upwards. The clips are used to route the control cord anywhere you’d like inside of your humidor. Just mount the clips using the adhesive backing and clip the wire inside of it.
The power cord plugs in next to the control unit and will turn the fans on – you’ll see the flap lifted up and blowing air coming out of the back. Use the control to adjust the humidity level up or down to your desired point. When the unit runs out of water, the display on the control will flash.
To add water to the unit, unplug the power cord and remove the white cap on the top of the unit. Fill the unit up using distilled water only – no activator solution. If you ever need to replace the water cartridge, simply remove the top of the unit to remove the foam. The foam in this unit is a brown foam that is saturated with an anti-fungal agent.Product Demonstration: Cigar Oasis II XL Humidifier by David Sabot
