Eye on You – Russ Fletcher

Part two of our ongoing series chronicling the many faces of CheapHumidors.com customers is Russ Fletcher from Tampa, FL!

Originally from Indiana, Russ has found a new home here in Florida’s cigar bars. He’s made great friends and found great mentors. Only 30 years old, Russ is a fixture at several of Tampa’s most prominent stores, as well as a loyal CheapHumidors.com customer. His favorite thing to buy on the CheapHumidors.com are boxes of cigars!

Here’s an excerpt from my interview with Russ at his favorite B&M in Tampa:

“My first cigar experience was watching my father smoke a cigar when I was really young. Seeing him blow out the smoke was amazing to me. I would smoke a cigar every once in a while I was in college but once I found this store here in Temple Terrace – that’s when the cigar became a “lifestyle”. I do not prefer a specific wrapper over another, it just depends on my mood. As long as it has a good taste and burn, I am happy. I am also lucky enough own not one but two of the Gurkha’s HMR’s which are extremely rare and expensive. I love the atmosphere of a cigar lounge and the company of my brothers and sisters in this Cigar Fraternity.”

Russ works for Bank of America here in Florida, and is constantly working to bring joy to his friends at the B&M – with comedy! He’s easily the funniest guy that I smoked a cigar with today who was named Russ. His quick wit and biting sarcasm makes him indispensable to keeping the light hearted atmosphere of the cigar bar. An equal opportunity offender, Russ never misses a chance to make a joke – even on himself! For him, it’s all about making people laugh and having a good time with good friends.

Russ no longer drinks alcohol by choice, so his favorite beverage to pair with a cigar is a dark soda. “It cleanses the palate and pairs great with almost anything I smoke.” Russ said while being interviewed on the CigaRobbie Radio Show.

Russ is the funny man of the group – a man that no good cigar smoking club or store is complete without.
